Childcare Practice

Hours and Rates

My usual business hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday. I strive to provide flexible childcare and so additional hours outside of these may be negotiable. I currently work term time only but may also be able to offer some holiday cover.

I accept Free Nursery Education Funding vouchers (often known as 3 and 4 year old funding), Workplace Childcare vouchers, and the new Government Tax-Free Childcare scheme, helping to make childcare more affordable for you.

Parents can provide the meals for their children themselves, or I can provide your child's meals. All meals will be in conjunction with my Healthy Eating Policy.

If I provide meals then my fees will be varied to take account of this. If you chose to provide your child's meals, then I'm always happy to serve your packed lunches or reheat cooked meals that you've made at home. If I cater for your child then I will provide healthy, nutritious meals and can agree a menu and meal options in advance with you (including provision for any special dietary requirements).

Professional Registration

I am registered as a professional childminder with Ofsted, the childcare regulator. Registration is a legal requirement and allows me to care for up to three children under 5, six children under the age of eight. Like all registered childminders I am regularly inspected by Ofsted and on my most recent inspection I received an ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.

I am also registered with Plymouth City Council, the local authority, and contact with one of their Early Years Advisory Teachers helps me to ensure that I am up-to-date on the latest childcare training and regulations.

Copies of my Registration and Public Liability Insurance certificates are on display in my home at all times and I can provide copies on request.

As a professional childminder I strive to maintain a safe, supportive and caring childcare environment at all times.

The following policies set out my approach to this:
