Ethos

My ethos is friendly care in a homely environment. The aims and objectives of my setting, to enable all children to develop and learn in a safe, caring and secure environment are:

• Provide each child with activities/experiences which allow them to develop new skills and increasing self-reliance
• Treat each child as an individual; taking into consideration needs, abilities and characteristics
• Keep children safe from harm whilst allowing them opportunities to investigate, explore and play
• Support children to develop positive behaviour strategies, thus enabling them to take full advantage of learning opportunities
• Provide opportunities for children to meet a wide range of children and adults outside of the childminding setting
• To encourage parents to contribute goals for their child's development and learning
• Keep parents/carers fully informed of their child's progress by means of written records (including observations), photographs and video clips
