Childminding
Hours & Fees
I operate on a flexible basis; my regular hours are between 7:30am and 5:30pm weekdays. Hours outside of these are negotiable, but I do not offer childminding on weekends or overnight.
My fees are dependant on the number of children and hours/days required. As an accredited childeminder I am licensed to accept Nursery Education Funding vouchers for three and four year-olds. I am also able to accept Busy Bees childcare vouchers, should your employer support this.
Quality Assurance
I am an accredited member of TRIO's quality-assured Plymouth Network, and a member of Peverell Childminding Support Group.
Activities
During term-time mornings, the children and I attend several different activities and groups. This is a time for them to socialise with other children their age, engage in group activities and experience the wider world. Activities regularly include:
- Various toddler groups
- Indoor activities centres
- Group trips to the park
- Visits to the library
- Nature walks
- Zoo and animal park outings
- Childminding community play sessions
Whilst the younger children sleep, the elder children engage in afternoon activities; these range from story time, games and jigsaw puzzles to craft work, construction and role play.
Meals
At the moment all the children I mind bring their own food. This can be eaten cold, cooked or reheated. When we attend toddler groups a snack is provided (either fruit or a biscuit), or alternatively something from the lunch box may be taken.
Meal times tend to be between 7:30am and 8:15am for breakfast, 12pm and 1pm for lunch and 4pm and 5pm for tea or a snack.
Policies
I have policies in many areas, which may be viewed upon request; these include:
- Inclusion
- Behaviour Management
- Complaints Procedure
- Child Protection
- Infectious Child Exclusions
- Special Educational Needs
- Equal Opportunities
- Parental Involvement
Insurance
As a precautionary measure, I am fully covered by Public Liability insurance.
